ARTISTS

Raiko Sakamoto

Born in 1979, Raiko Sakamoto is a katsudo benshi, a performer who provides live narration for silent films. He has narrated around 100 films, including period drama, shinpa (a type of Japanese melodrama that started in the late 19th century), foreign comedies, and animations. In addition, Sakamoto does live narration for animation made with his own illustrations as well as general narration and voice acting. He was awarded the Hanagata Engei Prize Silver Award in 2016.

Keisuke Ito

Tsugaru-jamisen (a kind of shamisen, traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument) musician. Born in 1988, Keisuke Ito started playing shamisen while he was in university. He has won numerous prizes in national shamisen competitions and appeared in various media, including both Japanese and international TV and radio. He received the Mie Prefecture Cultural New Face Award in 2014.
